Anka Roberto, DNP, PMHNP-BC, APRN, MPH
Anka Roberto is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in the state of CT. Anka’s 17 years of nursing has been providing care to the pediatric and neonatal population during her clinical practice. She has worked at the bedside on in-patient settings, in the community in public health settings, and now embarks in the area of treating trauma across the lifespan working with children, adults and families affected by trauma. Anka is EMDR trained and working towards certification. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and her Doctoral Degree in nursing practice from Fairfield University along with her Masters of Science Nursing and Masters in Public Health from Hunter College- SUNY. Her clinical expertise with children and families caring for the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of human beings shines as she works with her clients. Anka volunteers her time to work with the Fairfield County Trauma Recovery Network and is a distribution committee member of the Newtown Sandy Hook Community Foundation. Her area of research is posttraumatic growth and resiliency in the aftermath of trauma.
